Morcom Wins 2009 CAMS Rising Star Selection

After a successful debut year in Formula Ford competing in the NSW Formula Ford 1600 Championship, Nathan Morcom has been selected to join the CAMS Rising Star program for 2009.

The 16-year-old is set compete in the 2009 Australian Formula Ford Championship under the guidance of the Borland Racing Development team and joining him on CAMS Rising Star team are Luke Ellery and Scott Pye.

“Being selected as part of the CAMS Rising Star program is a great honour, and I’m really looking forward to competing in next year’s Australian Formula Ford Championship and working with the Borland Racing Developments team,” Morcom said.

“It’s going to good to under the guidance of the Borland Racing Development team during my first year in the Australian Formula Ford Championship as it is going to be tough and it’s going to be very beneficial to have all their experience to rely on.”

The 2009 Australian Formula Ford Championship calendar is close to being finalised.
